International specialized exhibitions "Wood processing-2026" and "Autoservice". Mechanics. Autocomponents-2026 began work in the Minsk football arena on October 27. Both expositions are held in the capital for the 31st time, reports the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.

At the stands gathered equipment manufacturers, representatives of the processing industry and automotive service specialists. The event began with a grand opening. The organizers and guests of honor noted that the importance of these sites goes beyond the demonstration of new products. Participants can discuss the introduction of new technologies and establish cooperation.

Opening the exhibition, Deputy Chairman of Bellesbumprom Sergey Kasyanov stressed the strategic importance of the forest industry for the country's economy.
- Belarus as a whole is a forest country, about 25 million cubic meters of timber are harvested annually. And the involvement of this resource in the economic turnover is a strategic task. Therefore, I thank the organizers for the fact that at the exhibition participants can get acquainted with new technologies, new equipment, alternative producers, starting from logging and deep processing. I wish all participants success and development of enterprises to both equipment manufacturers and manufacturers of finished products, he said.

Valery Mustafovich, Director General of the Public Association “Republican Forest Industry Association”, reminded that the exhibition is not only a meeting place for old partners, but also a platform for solving pressing problems.
- Our exhibition has been going on for 30 years. Some of you have been with us all this time, some of you have joined us this year. I hope you get the necessary contracts here. Immediately after the opening, we will start a conversation on burning topics: we will discuss the accumulated problems, try to solve them and share our experience, Mustafovich addressed the participants.

The second block of the exhibition – car service and equipment – attracted no less attention. The automotive market of the country today is experiencing unprecedented growth over the past 10 years, and its main driver was electric transport. According to forecasts, the share of electric vehicles in the fleet of new cars tends to 30%, and the implementation of the state program by 2030 should bring 300,000 such cars to the roads. In this regard, car service providers face completely new challenges. This was stated in his greeting by the Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Development of Electric Transport "BETA" Sergey Khudoeshko.
Electric cars are significantly different from traditional cars, and simple locksmiths can not always solve problems. The equipment that should be presented is diagnostic, balancing equipment for traction batteries, these are new competencies that are worth developing and which we very much hope to see at this exhibition. We expect the participants to update the vector, the emergence of more modern equipment and training programs, so that our specialists grow, and the service becomes professional and high-quality, he said.

If in woodworking the emphasis is on processing and finished products, in the car service – on spare parts, electronics and equipment for diagnostics. A notable place at the exhibition is given to innovations in charging infrastructure, batteries, as well as sustainable development - battery recycling and component recycling are discussed here.

Exhibition "Wood processing" and "Autoservice". Mechanics. Autocomponents" will continue its work on October 28-30 at the address: Minsk, pr. Winners, 20/2. The organizers invite both specialists and anyone interested in modern technologies in these industries to visit the expositions.
