Ten years of the colony was the culprit of a fatal accident in Borisoglebsk

A resident of Ternovsky district was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a fatal accident, which he arranged while intoxicated. Three people died in the accident. The decision was made by the Borisoglebsky district court of the Voronezh region.

The man was found guilty under paragraph “a” of part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In addition to his time in a general regime colony, he was banned from driving for two and a half years.

The accident occurred in April 2026 on Matrosovskaya Street in Borisoglebsk. At the wheel of the Infiniti FX37 crossover, a man was moving at high speed and crashed into the KIA Sportage car ahead. After the impact, Infiniti threw into the oncoming lane, where the car collided with a Scania truck.

As a result, three passengers of the crossover died. Two died at the scene, another died in hospital. The dead have minor children.

The medical examination showed that the content of ethyl alcohol in the exhaled air of the driver was 0.6 mg / l. The man admitted his guilt completely.

The court also granted civil claims of victims for compensation for moral damage totaling 4.9 million rubles. The sentence has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
