Children of teachers in the Volgograd region will be able to get to schools without a queue
The new measure of social support applies to state and municipal educational institutions, including organizations of preschool, primary, basic and secondary general education.

The relevant provision is enshrined in a regional resolution adopted in the development of federal decisions on additional support for teachers. The document also preserves the existing benefits for education workers. Among them are compensation for housing and communal services for rural teachers, payments to young specialists, incentives for novice teachers and awards to winners of regional professional skills competitions.
The order has already been sent to the municipalities. Local authorities should organize priority admission of children of teachers to municipal educational institutions and inform teachers about the provided support measures. The innovation will be another element of the regional system of assistance to education workers.
Today in the Volgograd region there are about 65 thousand specialists in the educational sphere, including more than 16 thousand school teachers. At the same time, interest in the pedagogical profession continues to grow. In 2026, the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University received almost 31 thousand applications, and the competition for budget places exceeded 16 people per place.
Additional opportunities for attracting personnel are provided by the Zemstvo teacher program. Since 2020, 103 teachers have become its participants in the region, each of whom received a one-time payment of 1 million rubles. In 2026, a regional pedagogical club “Zemsky Teacher” was also created for the participants of the program. Its activities are aimed at the development of mentoring and professional competencies of specialists.
In addition, on the initiative of Governor Andrei Bocharov, an expert working group was formed on the basis of VSPU. It deals with issues of improving the effectiveness of the regional education system and additional stimulation of pedagogical personnel.
Teacher support is provided within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children”. The region is also developing information and career guidance projects that help attract new specialists to the field of education. In particular, at the federal level, there is a “Teacher Forever” campaign, the main resource of which was the “Beteacher.rf” portal. With its help, future teachers can choose a university or college, learn about career prospects and available support measures.
