Children from Starobelsk will deliver a New Year's tree from Veliky Ustyug
The Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov asked Moscow TV journalist, author of the project “The Christmas tree from Santa Claus” Andrey Leontyev

The Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov asked Moscow TV journalist, author of the project “The Christmas tree from Santa Claus” Andrei Leontiev. He asked to deliver the spruce to the city of Starobelsk of the Luhansk People's Republic. There was a terrorist attack this year. Ukrainian drones attacked the dormitory and educational building of the local college. Among the victims and dead were children.
The New Year tree will be selected on the territory of the Velikoustyug forestry. The delivery of the tree is scheduled for early December. Georgy Filimonov also said that he will choose ten more small Christmas trees up to three meters high, which will be delivered to the libraries of Luhansk, boarding school No4 in Amvrosievka, as well as other cities and villages of the LPR.
We add that the Vologda region participates in the action for the third year in a row. The spruces of our region have become a symbol of the revival of faith and hope for the best, support for many citizens. Recall that in 2023 the Vologda region gave a New Year’s tree to Mariupol, in 2024 – to Kurchatov and Kursk, in 2025 – to Makeevka and Gorlovka. New Year toys for cities are made by masters and children from Veliky Ustyug and Vologda.
