St. Petersburg club of the Women’s Hockey League “Dynamo-Neva” has signed an agreement with Canadian striker Naomi Boucher. The contract with the 23-year-old athlete, the daughter of the head coach of Omsk Avangard Guy Boucher, is designed for one season. This information was provided by the press service of the club.
Naomi acts as a central striker. Over the past four years, she has played for the Yale team, playing 131 games and scoring 59 points in total. In her final season, she hit a personal record, earning 27 points over 36 games.
In the summer of 2026, the New York Sirens selected a Canadian hockey player in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) draft. Now she will play in St. Petersburg and, as expected, will strengthen the attack of the team, occupying fourth place in the standings of the GHL.
By the way, women’s hockey in St. Petersburg is developing not only on a professional level. For example, in the media team “Pure Peter” girls go on the ice on an equal basis with men. One of the hockey players of the club admitted that she feels absolutely harmonious in the male team, and hockey teaches mutual assistance and respect. According to her, the speed and level of struggle in such mixed compositions is already quite high.
