Incomes of rich residents of the Novosibirsk region were almost seven times higher than the income of the poor
In the Novosibirsk region, the incomes of the richest residents exceed the incomes of the poor by 6.7 times

The researchers assessed the socio-economic situation of the Russian regions and compiled a rating on the risk of being homeless. Novosibirsk region took 28th place in it.
In preparing the rating, experts used 15 indicators, including the unemployment rate, the debt burden of the population, housing affordability, the share of lonely citizens and mortality.
The authors of the study emphasize that a high place on the list does not mean a large number of homeless people. The rating reflects the degree of social vulnerability of the population and the circumstances that can lead to the loss of housing.
One of the negative factors for the Novosibirsk region was marked income inequality. At the same time, the region shows more favorable results in terms of housing. The share of citizens living in cramped housing conditions is 1.5% against the average Russian 2.5%.
The most difficult situation, according to the study, developed in Yakutia, Tuva and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The reasons vary from high debt burden and poverty to the prevalence of emergency housing.
Only 17 of the 20 regions with the highest risk of housing loss are located in Siberia and the Far East.
Earlier, MK in Novosibirsk reported that the average salary of residents of the Novosibirsk region in the first quarter of 2026 exceeded 91 thousand rubles.
