The road to the North Coast is being built ahead of schedule. O. Korzun visited the Settlement Information Center

Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Oleg Korzun met on a single day of informing with the staff of the CUP “Settlement Information Center of the Minsk City Executive Committee” on September 10, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

The theme was the upcoming National Unity Day.

- This holiday, along with such significant dates as Victory Day and Independence Day, reflects the fateful stages of the history of our state, said O. Korzun.

He dwelled in detail on the historical prerequisites for the reunification of the Belarusian lands and the situation that developed in the territories of Western Belarus until September 17, 1939. Today, historians call it an ethnocide, which manifested itself through the prohibition of the Belarusian language, the Orthodox faith, the manifestation of national characteristics and identity.

O. Korzun also spoke about the development of the city: the construction of new transport links, the improvement of courtyards, the commissioning of new social and medical facilities, schools and kindergartens, the replacement of road surfaces, floral design of the city.

Representatives of the labor collective asked the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee their questions. Employees of the enterprise were concerned about the demolition of houses and the reconstruction of the Dolginovsky tract.

They asked about housing for young professionals.

- It's solvable. We can consider the issues of providing a hostel, including a block type, said O. Korzun.

One of the employees expressed gratitude on the results of one of the past meetings – in Stone Hill opened a shop, which was needed by local residents.

When asked when the overpass will work in the area of Kolesnikov-Timiryazev street, O. Korzun said that it is planned to open before the end of the year.

Also, O. Korzun said that the work on the construction of the road from the residential complex "Northern Beach" to L. Karastoyanova Street with its expansion is being carried out ahead of schedule - this is done for the comfort of city residents.

- I think the practice of such meetings in the labor collectives is very necessary. You can ask any question and get an answer. It is also important that they have feedback: the promises that were given earlier are being implemented, and people are grateful for this, Natalia Stryenok, chief accountant of the enterprise, shared her impressions.
