Yesterday, October 21, Kostroma State Traffic Inspectorate began a series of three-day preventive measures to ensure road safety at intersections.
Special attention is paid by traffic police inspectors to unregulated intersections, which are traditionally areas of high accident rate. As part of the raid, police officers will not only record traffic violations, but also conduct explanatory conversations with drivers.
Car owners are reminded of the rules of crossings. The absence of a traffic light or its operation in the yellow flashing signal mode does not relieve the driver from the obligation to observe priority of movement and extreme caution.
The traffic police call on road users to be polite. Drivers are advised to reduce speed before crossing roads, correctly determine the order of travel and avoid sharp maneuvers.
Pedestrians are reminded of the need to cross the carriageway only in designated places, making sure of safety.
