Two residents of the Orel region caught poaching with an electric rod
Orel environmental Prosecutor’s office sent to court a criminal case against two local residents

The Oryol environmental prosecutor's office sent a criminal case against two local residents to the court. They are accused of illegal fishing using prohibited means.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor’s office, in may of this year, accomplices were fishing on the river Oka in the Mtsensky district. For mining, the men used electrolytes, the use of which is strictly prohibited by law. With the help of current poachers caught about 7 kilograms of fish: 100 pieces of roach, 7 pike, 2 perch and other river animals.
The damage caused to nature, experts estimated at more than 66 thousand rubles. During the investigation, the men fully reimbursed this amount. However, this did not release them from criminal liability - the case materials were transferred to the Mtsensky District Court for consideration.
