The monthly single day of information will be held in Minsk on September 10, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti news agency reports.
It will be dedicated to the theme “Day of National Unity as a Factor of National Pride”.
The focus will be on the historical prerequisites for the reunification of the Belarusian lands in 1939 and the importance of this event for the preservation of national identity. Participants will be reminded of the period when Belarusians were separated by artificial borders and subjected to the policy of assimilation, as well as how cohesion helped the people to defend the right to be themselves.
National Unity Day, traditionally celebrated on September 17, is not just a date in the calendar, but a living connection of times, strengthening national solidarity and historical memory, which unites the past and present of the country.
