IVF for compulsory health insurance - only up to 38: in Russia want to introduce an age qualification
As a result, the budget will spend money, and the birth rate will grow slightly

In Russia, it was proposed to limit the age for free IVF according to MHI. This initiative was made by Karina Sagamonova, Chairman of the Council of the Russian Association of Human Reproduction. In her opinion, the state should pay for the procedure only for women under 38 years of age.
Why 38? The expert explains: now discussed reduction of the minimum level of antimullerian hormone to 0.8 ng / ml. This hormone shows the supply of eggs. If the threshold is lowered, women of about 50 years old will be able to do IVF according to OHI - but their likelihood of having a child remains low. As a result, the budget will spend money, and the birth rate will grow slightly.
“If you limit the age to 38 years, they will flee at a younger age to us and give birth to more children,” said Sagamonova.
