The former head of the settlement in Kostroma lost his car and 8.3 million rubles

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Kostroma district has completed an inspection of compliance with anti-corruption legislation against the former head of the Minsk rural settlement.

It was established that in the income statements for 2022, the official concealed information about the purchase of a car, the cost of which exceeded its total income for three years by more than 3.8 million rubles. To conceal the deal, the car was re-registered to the official's father on the day of purchase.

In addition, in the period from 2022 to 2023, the official, using a brokerage account issued for a relative, purchased securities, including foreign issuers.

At the suit of the prosecutor's office, the court turned into federal property the car and money in bank accounts for a total amount of more than 8.3 million rubles. As part of the execution of the decision, the car was withdrawn. Also, the powers of the official were prematurely terminated due to loss of trust, information was entered in the relevant register.
