ICAO expert group completes Belarus civil aviation audit – preliminary results positive
From September 28 to October 7, an audit of the national protection system was conducted in Belarus by a group of experts of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

From September 28 to October 7, a group of experts from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) conducted an audit of the national system for protecting civil aviation from acts of unlawful interference in Belarus. This sb.by reported in the press service of the Ministry of transport and communications.

It is noted that the inspection was carried out in several directions.
- The experts assessed the compliance of national legislation with the standards and recommended practices of ICAO, the system of state control and supervision, the practical implementation by state bodies and civil aviation entities of the established requirements, personnel training, as well as aviation security in terms of simplification of formalities for international air transportation.
The official results of the audit will be presented until December 8, 2026. However, it has already been noted that Belarus has a full-fledged sustainable system of protection of civil aviation from acts of illegal interference, a number of regulatory legal acts based on ICAO standards have been qualitatively revised.
The head of the ICAO Audit Group, Mario Romano Jenny, thanked the Belarusian specialists for the work done and noted the coordinated actions of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport, government agencies, Minsk National Airport and Belavia Airlines.
- The positive results of the inspection will contribute to the expansion of international air traffic and strengthening the image of Belarus as a reliable aviation partner, the Ministry of Transport concluded. Proposals and recommendations of ICAO experts will serve as a basis for the development of corrective measures and further work to improve the regulatory legal regulation of the aviation industry.
