Eurasian Development Bank: annual inflation in Belarus accelerated to 4.5%, but remains under control
EDB forecast: inflation in Belarus in 2026 will remain below the limit parameter of the National Bank.

According to the EDB macro survey, inflation in Belarus in August 2026 was 4.5% in annual terms after 4.4% in July and remains below the target threshold of 7%. This is reported by BelTA.
The EDB noted the acceleration of price growth in the segment of non-food products – up to 3.2% in annual terms (in July the figure was 2.9%). The bank attributes this to the reduction of the list of goods subject to price regulation.
Inflation on food products and services in August remained at the level of the previous month. Core inflation in August was 4.8% in annual terms and remains unchanged for the third consecutive month. According to EDB analysts, this indicates moderate price pressure. Experts predict that by the end of 2026, inflation will remain below the limit parameter of the National Bank.
