The defendant in the case of fraud for 4.5 million rubles in Buryatia was forbidden to communicate with witnesses
The Soviet district court of Ulan-Ude chose a measure of restraint for the defendant in the criminal case of fraud

The Soviet district court of Ulan-Ude chose a measure of restraint for the defendant in the criminal case of fraud. Instead of house arrest, which the investigation insisted on, the court limited itself to a ban on certain actions.
According to investigators, the accused together with an accomplice participated in the theft of the victim’s money under the pretext of investment activities. The amount of transferred funds amounted to 4.5 million rubles. In addition, the woman, as the investigation believes, made a payment order with knowingly false information about the execution of payment for 6 million rubles – to create the appearance of fulfilling obligations.
The investigating authority requested house arrest. However, the court, having examined the materials, arguments of the parties and data on the identity of the accused, did not find sufficient grounds to satisfy the application. The court also took into account that the investigation of the criminal case was at the final stage and indicated that the objectives of the criminal proceedings could be ensured by a less strict preventive measure.
As a result, the accused is prohibited from communicating with the victim and witnesses in the case, as well as using means of communication. The ruling has entered into legal force.
