The program of the V International Economic Cooperation Forum pays special attention to the development of the tourism industry. On September 11, journalists said the Chairman of the Board of the Republican Union of the tourism industry Philip Guly, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
- The stated program of the forum clearly shows that tourism plays one of the most important roles here. This industry actually unites about 150 different sectors of the economy, including catering, hospitality, logistics, transport and trade. The industry performs a large-scale coordinating function, regulating how effectively foreign citizens spend their money for their pleasure and interest. Our main task today is to maintain a steady flow of guests to Minsk in the context of the changing economic situation in the target markets, the expert said.
F. Guly stressed that Belarus has built serious relations, backed by logistics, with a number of regions of the Russian Federation, especially with the Nizhny Novgorod and Murmansk regions, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan.
- The most important thing is to make sure that in the low season (from November to March) we have a high occupancy rate, and tourists continue to go. This requires synchronization of airline flight programs, as well as urban and sanatorium tourism infrastructure. The second key vector is clear cooperation with specialized banks and financial institutions to lend real business initiatives. Projects should be brought to a strictly professional and scientific level. Tourism is a big science that needs to be learned, because people on vacation become whimsical, and we are obliged to provide them with the highest quality service, Guly concluded.
