The film about the Belgorod lilac became one of the media leaders of 2026

A documentary about how scientists of the Belgorod region saved lilacs in a blackout became one of the nominees of the international competition of corporate media and media projects Mediaalder-2026. A total of 562 applications were submitted for 21 nominations. The project of NRU BelSU took first place in two of them.

The documentary film “How to save the Belgorod lilac in blackout” received a diploma “Excellent Competition” in the nominations “Best special project of the state structure” and “Best video of the state structure”. Its authors are the director of the Center for Visual Communications, Design and Multimedia Artem Yakovchuk, the specialist of the center Sergey Drachev and the head of the Department of Landscape Architecture Marina Evtukhova.

The film tells how, after a series of shelling and power cuts, rare lilacs of the university were threatened with wilting. To save them, scientists and students carried water in the dark, sheltered greenhouses and made fires.

The award ceremony will be held on November 27. It will be organized at the conference “New technologies of PR-work – 2026” in Moscow.

The museum of the Belgorod school became the winner of the competition of the Russian Society “Knowledge”.
