The district holiday "To You, my city, we dedicate" takes place in the Victory Park along the Ave. Winners in front of the Victoria Hotel on September 12. Correspondents of the Minsk-Novosti agency took part in festivities together with citizens.
Organizations and enterprises of the Central District presented interactive zones that offer various activities to the guests of the holiday: master classes, sports and intellectual games, quizzes, creating crafts with their own hands, songs, dances. In addition, there are food outlets where you can eat something.

Numerous creative teams and performers replace each other on the stage. Nearby is a cabin with aquagrim for the youngest from the Belarusian Red Cross. And cheerful clowns invite everyone to take pictures.

- We represent the theater of clowning "Buffon" Center for additional education of children and youth "Contact". No one passes by us; they take pictures! And all because we have magic umbrellas, thanks to which everyone’s mood improves, as well as the weather in the house and on the street! – said the head of the theater Zhanna Larchenko.

For adherents of an active lifestyle, mini-hockey and huge darts, relays and badminton were prepared. Intellectuals can play chess and checkers, and lovers of laughter can visit the tent of curved mirrors. Those who prefer a relaxing holiday choose to watch movies in the open air. There is also an exhibition of special equipment from the "Minskvodokanal" - you can take a photo near a snowmobile and a self-propelled amphibious machine.

The festival takes place not only on land, but also on water. Boat "Swallow" dissects the surface of the reservoir, riding passengers, and nearby there are international competitions in ship modeling in the classes of radio-controlled yachts RG65 and F5-E - "Sail - 2026". Participants, children and adults, came not only from Minsk, but also from different cities of Russia and even Portugal.

One of the participants is a student of the 9 "A" class of the capital's gymnasium No. 40 Nikolai Klimuk:
- I've been at Dosaaf for two years. The task at the race is to pass the distance faster than anyone, bypassing all buoys. The main thing is to be able to maneuver the model taking into account the wind, its speed and direction. Of course, much depends on the yacht itself. Usually everyone makes it for themselves. Today, yachts with a hull length of 61 cm and a sail height of 1 m 10 cm compete. It may seem like a quiet sport, but the spirit of competition here is very strong. Even protests are appointed - this is when a participant interfered with opponents and is forced to make a penalty turn around his axis.

The holiday in the Central district will last until 20:00.
