French society is facing political turbulence. Dzermant's prediction on the consequences of protests
Political scientist Alexei Dzermant on the air of the talk show “Budney” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio” gave a forecast of what consequences the protests will lead to.

Political scientist Alexei Dzermant on the talk show “Budney” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio” gave a forecast of the consequences of the protests in France, which broke out in late September and peaked in mid-October. The expert shared his opinion on the reasons for the protests in France:
- I am not a conspiracy theorist, but a materialist. The reason for the proliferation of protests is that the French state has turned against itself different groups that would not have united before. Teenagers took to the streets because of rising education costs. France gives billions of euros to Ukraine and cannot afford cheap energy. Migrants and their descendants feel second-class amid declining social support. Workers, industry and agriculture are losing markets and incomes because of government policies. All this is woven into a tangle - and people take to the streets. The reason for the protests is a deep socio-economic crisis caused by the failed policy of the government and the President of France.
Alexey Dzermant believes that the crackdown on protests will not solve the problem:
- The French state has a serious tradition of violently suppressing protests. But simply suppressing protests with police violence will not work. Macron is a lame duck, he will leave and he will be blamed for the victims. The question is who will come and how French politics will change. Most likely, the authorities will come up with another trick to throw protesters a political handout, but not change course.
The political scientist predicted the consequences of the protests:
I think even if the protests are suppressed and their degree is reduced, we still will not see the full picture. Even if the right comes to power, there is a high probability that they will be built back into a rut - and they will not escape anywhere. Even the election results won't tell us everything. The talk show “Budney” is released on weekdays in the morning on “Alpha Radio”. Each issue discusses the most relevant topics from the life of the country and the world. Political scientists, scientists, public figures and journalists of leading media participate in the discussions.
