The traffic police will have access to medical contraindications of drivers

From March 1, 2027, traffic police officers will be able to terminate the driver's license without trial. This will be possible thanks to the automatic exchange of data with medical institutions in real time.

How the new system will work: a driver candidate will be denied rights if there are contraindications. The current driver will be obliged to undergo a medical examination within three months. If the disease is confirmed, the right to control will terminate automatically.

Now to deprive the rights for health reasons can only be through the court — the Prosecutor files an administrative claim. The new system will simplify this procedure. It is expected to improve road safety.
