The head of Buryatia agreed with the Petrovsky RSCC on joint development

The head of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov announced the achievement of agreements with the Russian Scientific Center for Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky on joint testing of Buryat developments, training doctors and preparing drugs for market entry. The meeting of the Buryat delegation with the director of the RNCH, academician of the RAS Konstantin Kotenko was held the day before in Moscow.

According to Tsydenov, the meeting discussed joint work and research in the scientific field, and colleagues were told about the achievements of universities of the republic. Buryat State University has created the Institute of Traditional Medicine, where they have already developed a series of dietary supplements and teas that strengthen the immune system and protect cells. East Siberian State University of Technology and Management has established a full cycle - from a scientific idea to a finished product: the company "Bifivit" and the center "Food BioAgroTech" are working, creating products with therapeutic and preventive properties. The Buryat State Agricultural Academy has developed a substance “baikalin” from the root of the Baikal helmet – a powerful antioxidant that slows down aging, on the basis of which there are already ready-made dietary supplements.

“We combine all this with the unique experience of the Center for Oriental Medicine, which has been combining folk recipes and modern science for 37 years,” the head of the republic said.

The parties agreed to test Buryat developments in the laboratories of the RSCC, train doctors from Buryatia in advanced methods in Moscow and prepare joint drugs for market entry. Tsydenov also invited Konstantin Kotenko and his team to visit Buryatia. “Our goal is to give people more years of healthy and active life,” the head of the region concluded.

Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky is the largest multidisciplinary surgical center, which conducts priority research, development and implementation of the latest medical technologies, as well as trains personnel in the field of surgery.
