The head of the Leningrad region told about the change in electricity tariffs for 2027

The head of the Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko on October 17 held a meeting on electricity tariffs for the next year and announced the changes. He shared all the details on his social media.

The Governor listened to the views of all participants in the process of providing the population with electricity, including relevant committees and resource supply organizations.

“My position is unambiguous: if there are complaints from people, then the situation must change,” the head of the region said.

In the Leningrad region for residents who live in the region for at least a year, the fee for the second range of electricity is equal to the first due to compensation from the regional budget. This prevents a sharp increase in payments when crossing the threshold of the first range.

Next year, the benefit for residents of the region will be extended until July 1, 2027, provided that they live for at least a year. From January 1, the first range for households with electric heating will be increased to 3,000 kWh, which is important for summer residents and temporary residents.

The difference between the ranges will be reduced in two stages: from January 1 and July 1. The first range will correspond to the level set by the FAS - about nine rubles, lower in rural areas. The exact parameters will be approved by the FAS, they will be announced later.

According to the head of the region, the authorities will provide compensation from the budget. Funds will be allocated to avoid a sharp increase in electricity charges for the population.

“The main thing is to monitor the transmission of testimony. If you don’t serve them on time, your consumption for a few months can add up, and you will automatically “fly” to the third range with a higher tariff. This is especially true for private houses, where bills for the house, bath and garage are summed up, Drozdenko explained.

Regional authorities continue to engage with FAS and energy companies to mitigate the impact of the transition between the bands. Earlier, the “MK in the Leningrad region” wrote that the regional Commission on ecology discussed changes in the law on forests.
