The head of Smolensk Alexander Novikov summed up the work of city services over the past week

Alexander Novikov said that heating was successfully supplied to all medical and social institutions. Where there are problems with intra-home networks, specialists work targetedly - blow up systems and adjust the supply. For operational communication with residents, the Smart Smolensk platform was launched, where a responsible person is assigned for each application and the deadline for its closure is controlled.

For eight months of this year, hundreds of trees and thousands of shrubs were planted in the city. In the near future - planting elms on the central streets, as this breed is resistant to compacted soil and reagents. Also, the landing of linden, maple and mountain ash will continue.

Work has been completed to update the facades of apartment buildings on Bakunin and Tukhachevsky streets. In the Leninsky district, a large-scale installation of lanterns in the yards is underway (all addresses have been examined and schemes have been agreed), which is planned to be completed before the end of the year. On behalf of Governor Vasily Anokhin in 2027, the lighting program will continue in the Industrial and Zadnipro districts.

The priority remains to keep the houses in a regular state. City Management Company has restored more than 33 thousand square meters of roofing. In addition, ongoing repairs were carried out in almost 150 entrances: the entrance groups, stairways and basic restoration work were put in order.

The head of the city personally inspects the construction sites. This week, he visited the Termoland-Dolphin fitness and recreation complex and the territory of the Zadneprovsky market, where he assessed the dynamics of work and discussed current issues with the deadlines for delivery with contractors.
