Glavbukh from the Saransk Institute caught fraud

In Saransk, a 50-year-old man will appear in court, who is charged with major fraud using official position. The investigation of this case is conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Mordovia.

The accused held the position of chief accountant at an institute engaged in retraining. According to the supervisory authority, the man considered his income insufficient and decided to independently “adjust” his financial situation.

As explained in the Prosecutor’s office, the accused systematically made false information in the payroll and payment orders, artificially inflating the size of his own salary. As a result, for the period from October 2021 to December 2024, he managed to illegally obtain funds in the amount of more than 800 thousand rubles.

The man pleaded guilty and fully compensated for the damage. Now the question of the appointment of punishment will be decided by the October district court. According to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to six years.
