In the Luhansk People’s Republic, the Youth Council met with veterans of the EMERCOM service – Igor Gundar, Valery Vikhtar and Viktor Sidorov. In a warm and trusting atmosphere, the older generation shared not only memories of the years of service, but also what is impossible to find in textbooks - personal experiences, experiences and principles that help to stay true to their work.
According to the press service of the regional Emergencies Department, veterans recalled emergency situations, difficult decisions and moments when human lives depended on the actions of rescuers. We talked about the main priority of the service - saving people, as well as the importance of unconditional compliance with security requirements. After all, behind every professional decision there is a responsibility and understanding of how high the price of carelessness is.
A special place in the conversation was occupied by the topic of the brotherhood of the fire protection. Veterans stressed that its basis is trust, mutual assistance and willingness to come to the rescue at any time.
“The main thing is to help each other, to be open and honest. You need to be such a person that you can go to intelligence with you, the veterans shared with their young colleagues.
The emergency department added that the meeting was not just an exchange of experience, but a sincere conversation of generations about what unites the employees of the Service over the years. About professional duty, family values and traditions that are transmitted not according to instructions, but from person to person.
In addition, it is from such meetings that the continuity of generations is formed - when, along with stories about service, young people adopt the main thing: respect for their comrades, loyalty to their work and readiness to come to the aid of those who need it.
