In the Andropov district of the Stavropol Territory improved water supply for almost three thousand residents of the villages of Ovrazhny, Upper Yankul and New Yankul. This was reported by Governor Vladimir Vladimirov.
Kraivodokanal specialists completed the first stage of updating the second stage of the Nevinnomyssko-Kursava group water pipeline. Of the 11.2 km of pipes planned, 6.2 km were replaced. After washing and disinfection, the water supply was switched to a new line.
Old steel and asbestos cement pipes laid about 40 years ago were severely worn out - hence the high accident rate. Especially acute problem was felt in the summer, when due to watering increased load on the network, fell pressure and there were interruptions.
“Modernization of the pipeline continues. The remaining 4.9 km of water pipe will be replaced. We are updating the facility in stages - at the expense of the regional budget and with the involvement of federal resources, Vladimirov said.
The governor instructed the regional MZHKH to keep the progress of work under constant control.
