AI did not help: a passenger in Turkey forged a ticket for business class

A passenger on the Istanbul-Izmir flight of Turkish Airlines tried to get into business class using a fake boarding pass created using artificial intelligence. The incident was reported by aviation portal HavaSosyalMedya. After discovering the deception, the plane returned to the terminal.

The man bought a ticket to the economy class, but then with the help of a neural network changed the seat number specified in the boarding pass, hoping to take a seat in business class.

The substitution was discovered during the recount of passengers by flight attendants. After the violation was detected, the aircraft returned to the terminal.

In respect of the passenger, a protocol was drawn up on violation of the rules of transportation. According to HavaSosyalMedya, the airline may blacklist it. In addition, the man faces administrative proceedings.

Other details of what happened were not reported.
