According to the 71-year-old, the incident took place on September 5 at the “Fast Paws” tail race, and not on the 6th during the Minsk Half Marathon, as some Internet users suggested. Participants (owners and pets) were required to run 100 meters. The pet was afraid of the start signal and froze, while the man ran, not seeing that the pet did not follow him. The animal on a leash dragged along the ground part of the distance. A resident of the capital said that then the dog also switched to running and as a result was not injured.
In this situation, the employees of the internal affairs bodies conduct an inspection.
