Investments, jobs and social programs: Rusy – on the role of VNS solutions for regions

Exactly 30 years ago, on October 19-20, 1996, the first All-Belarusian People’s Assembly was held, at which we approved the first program of the five-year development of our country. Since then, each Assembly had its own theme and marked a new stage in the development of the country. The seventh GNU considered seven areas of development, including regional development. It was noted that strong regions are a strong country, a strong state. And it really is. The head of state set a task that was to be taken under the personal patronage of the chairmen of the district executive committees: at least one investment project in each district. What is investment in the region? These are wages, these are jobs. In addition, any district budget is more than half income tax. That is, we get products, jobs for people and a budget to implement social programs. And these issues are kept under strict control – both by the regional executive committees and personally by the Head of State. The president has reviewed them several times at his level. - Lida was among the cities of accelerated development. She and Lida district are implementing more than 11 such projects, each of which creates innovative export-oriented products. This is important, because little to produce, you need to sell and get the currency. And, in addition, to replace imports. So, the enterprise "Conus" is both import substitution and export orientation. For $ 90 million, it sells its products for export, the demand is very high.

The main activity of the enterprise is metal processing and coating. In order to protect metals from corrosion, the NAS of Belarus has developed an investment project “Creation of production for protection against corrosion of long metal structures by hot galvanizing”. In December 2010, the first stone was laid in the foundation of a new enterprise - a hot galvanizing plant. In January 2012, the plant for protection against corrosion of metal structures by hot galvanizing of the enterprise "Conus" was put into operation. In 2022, it introduced into production the application of passivating coating on fresh zinc coating, and a year later the company earned a pilot site for the application of anti-corrosion coating on metal products by the method of thermal diffusive galvanizing.
