Searched for “supernatural forces”: in India, a man kidnapped a child right outside the house for the rite in the temple
Shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh: depressed man kidnaps preschooler for sacrifice The boy was found in the temple 40 hours later.

In India, police have arrested a 34-year-old man, Vivek Kumar Kushwah, suspected of kidnapping two-year-old Krishna for the purpose of sacrifice. This is reported by The Times of India.
The investigation established that Kushwaha intended to perform the rite in order to gain “supernatural abilities”, appease the gods and marry at his own discretion.
The boy was rescued about 40 hours after his disappearance. It was discovered in the temple of the goddess Kali in Uttar Pradesh. The suspect was arrested before he could perform the ritual.
Officers said Kushwaha had been suffering from depression for more than a year after divorcing his wife. He was previously involved in a theft case. These circumstances led him to become superstitious, and he believed that the sacrifice of a child would fulfill his wishes.
Initially, Kushwaha planned to kidnap a child in a crowded market, but when this did not work, he kidnapped the first preschooler who was playing outside the house.
