Laboratory studies of FGBI “ARRIAH” confirmed the presence of viable seeds of quarantine weed in the products. According to the law “On plant quarantine”, clogged products were sent to a processing plant. It is included in the register of objects that use technologies that deprive quarantine organisms of viability.
Povilika is one of the most dangerous parasites in crop production. It has no roots: it feeds on the juices of the host plant, wrapping its stem. This leads to the death of crops, a sharp drop in yields and clogging of fields for years. In addition, the plant is toxic to animals due to the alkaloids contained in it.
