More than two and a half thousand residents of Brest region have already joined the action “Give the forest a new zhyzzo”

More than two and a half thousand residents of the southwestern region on a voluntary basis became participants in the autumn stage of the republican action “Give the forest a new zhyzzo”. This sb.by was told by the chief forester of the Brest State Forestry Production Association (GPLHO) Alexander Matyushevsky.

The autumn stage of the republican action “Give the forest a new zhyzzo” takes place from October 17 to 24. It is aimed at restoring forests affected by hurricane winds and drying plantations. On a voluntary basis, the green fund of Belarus is replenished by everyone - representatives of local authorities, deputy corps, labor collectives of enterprises and organizations, students, students. Every day, new legal entities and individuals apply to forestry farms and forestry in the southwestern region, who want to participate in tree planting.

- During the autumn stage of the action “Give the forest a new zhyzzo” in the Brest region, it is planned to create almost 97 hectares of new forests. More than half a million units of planting material will be used for this. 39 sites identified. Among the main plantations is pine, said the chief forester of Brest GPLHO Alexander Matyushevsky.

In autumn in the Brest region reforestation will be held on 600 hectares. Planting young trees and promoting natural reforestation will be carried out in all forestry enterprises of the region.

In the Gomel region, more than 10 thousand people have already become participants in the action “Give the forest a new zhyzzo!”.
