How fraudsters use the topic of the Social Fund to deceive Penzants
Lawyer Ivan Izosimov revealed a new trick scammers who act on behalf of the Social Fund of Russia

Lawyer Ivan Izosimov revealed a new trick scammers who act on behalf of the Social Fund of Russia. This is done for the elderly. They receive a message that the Fund for many years underpaid them. The stranger offers to quickly settle this issue for a fee.
However, at the conclusion of the contract, an unpleasant detail is revealed. The Contractor undertakes only to prepare appeals, and the real reasons for recalculation does not explain. As a result, a person pays for papers that do not solve the problem invented by fraudsters.
The expert warned about another scenario. False employees of the SFR can offer to make an appointment. To do this, they ask for passport data and a code from SMS, allegedly to confirm the record. In fact, this combination is necessary for criminals to enter the “public services”, and the information obtained can help them apply for loans.
Another scheme is related to the transfer of pensions into digital rubles. Fraudsters convince a person to name a code or take certain actions to “save” the usual payments. Izosimov stressed that the transition to the digital ruble is voluntary. No one has the right to force pensioners to do that.
The lawyer advises to check any proposals for recalculation independently through the SFR. Do not trust phone calls or links from the interlocutor. He noted that even knowledge of the name, length of service and pension does not give the right to request codes from SMS.
