Belarusians are a very hospitable people. Our country is rich in interesting places to visit. By the end of this five-year plan, the contribution of tourism to the country’s GDP should double and amount to a very solid 4%. The potential for the development of the tourism industry is great, there are good examples of how to do this. Plus government support.

And the wider this potential is revealed, the greater the demand for both our population and foreign guests. New types of tourism are emerging. Let's say industrial. Or environmental. Or event is when people purposefully go to the "Slavic Bazaar" or "Dozhinki", but what is important, at the same time get acquainted with the region.

What does the president think of tourism? And why should the development of this industry become a significant source of income for the country and people? On tourism as a driver of economic growth (primarily for the regions) and the tasks for its development from the President – in the report of ONT.

What will change for the new tourist season in Belarus – in the ONT story

During the year, the export of tourist services doubled. The noise of pine forest was preferred by the Belarusians themselves – 20 million trips! And foreigners - 7.5 million tourist trips.

The topic of tourism in national color sounded this week during the working trip of Alexander Lukashenko to the Verkhnedvinsky district. In the hunting farm "Red Bor" diversity of local flora and fauna for almost three decades turned into hospitality.

From songs and honey, hunting and fishing to complex tourist infrastructure. Unlock the potential in all its glory. And this applies not only to the northern regions – the whole country. The President’s task set a year earlier: by 2030, the share of tourism in GDP should reach 4.5%, the contribution to the economy should double. This is not just about the comfort of the guests.

The suitcase is assembled, the route is built and checked on itself. Premiere on ONT: the travel show "We are on the way", in which the answer is where to look for something for which you want to review the photos and stories in the tape over and over again, and say "Remember...".
