The Federal Tax Service of Russia in the Yaroslavl region reports that the region has a comprehensive system of support for large families, which includes federal benefits and additional regional preferences. Parents, adoptive parents and guardians raising three or more minor children are fully or partially exempt from the payment of transport, land and property taxes of individuals. Most measures are applied proactively – data on the status of the family come to the tax service directly from the social protection authorities.
Large families are granted the following federal tax deductions:
In the Yaroslavl region, large families (one of the parents) are exempt from paying tax on one passenger car with a capacity of up to 150 hp inclusive. If the power is higher or it is another vehicle, the tax amount is reduced by an amount not exceeding 4 215 rubles.
For low-income families with many children, there is a full exemption from the tax on one passenger car (one parent) regardless of engine power. For another vehicle, the amount of tax is reduced by an amount not exceeding 9 thousand rubles.
The Federal Tax Service of Russia in the Yaroslavl region draws attention to the fact that the status of a large family is confirmed by a certificate of the established sample issued by the social protection authorities when registering a family as a large one.
The status of a poor family is confirmed by a certificate of the executive authority of the Yaroslavl region in the field of social protection and social services of the population on the recognition of the family as poor.
The current list of tax benefits is posted on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in the service "Reference information on rates and benefits for property taxes".
