Kaliningrad residents called a suitable electric meter for an ordinary apartment

For a standard apartment, a single-phase 220 V electric meter is usually suitable. How to choose the right device, said the expert on housing Alexander Agapov in an interview with NEWS.ru.

You can determine the type of network by the input machine: one strip indicates a single-phase network, three - a three-phase one with a voltage of 380 V. The latter is often needed in private homes with powerful equipment, such as an electric boiler or sauna.

Agapov advised to choose electronic meters. Unlike older mechanical models, they are more accurate and can support multi-tariff accounting. Some devices also transmit readings remotely.

When choosing, it is important to consider the accuracy class. According to the expert, class 2.0 is enough for household needs with an error of up to 2%. More accurate appliances of classes 1.0 and 0.5S for an ordinary apartment, as a rule, are not necessary.
