Kaliningrad residents told how to behave when meeting a wolf

When meeting with a wolf, you can not run away - this can provoke a predator to pursue. About it News.ru told ecologist Ilya Rybalchenko.

According to him, a wolf usually avoids a person, but if he approaches and behaves threateningly, you need to show that you are not an easy prey. You should straighten up, raise your hands or open your jacket, speak in a loud and firm voice.

If the wolf comes closer, you need to make noise and use improvised means for protection. Go slowly to the car or building. Children need to be kept close, and the dog - on a short leash.

If an attack does occur, you can't pretend to be dead, you have to actively defend yourself. If you bite or scratch, you should wash the wound with soap and water and immediately consult a doctor. If the wolf is seen near the house and is not afraid of people, call 112.
