“Kaliningradgasification” warned for possible dumping of garbage in the security zone

The North-Western Department of the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision announced a warning to Kaliningradgazification JSC. The information is published on the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

As follows from the document, the basis was the appeal of the citizen. During the assessment of the received information, the inspectors revealed signs of a possible violation of the security zone of the gas distribution network in the village of Zaozerye, Guryevsky district.

According to Rostekhnadzor, in July 2026, construction work was carried out on Central Street. On the site, presumably, removed and exported fertile soil, and also sprinkled the territory with construction debris with the help of heavy equipment. All this happened in the security zone of the operating low-pressure gas pipeline.

According to the rules of protection of gas distribution networks, in the security zone (two meters from the gas pipeline) it is forbidden to arrange landfills, fence the territory and dig deeper than 0.3 meters.

The head of Kaliningradgazification JSC is headed by Alexander Dimakov since March 10, 2025.
