In September, the department checked the farmer’s farm in the Zelenograd district. He grows vegetables and other crops. Experts tested tomatoes, cucumbers, greens and cabbage. No pesticide residues were found in vegetables, and nitrate levels were within normal limits.
But the inspection revealed other irregularities. Last year, a farmer used pesticides more than allowed and violated dosage standards. In addition, he did not publish information on the processing of fields in time. Such announcements are also needed so that beekeepers can protect bees.
On October 8, the Rosselkhoznadzor fined the farmer and ordered him to eliminate the violations. On October 20, the agency received confirmation that the entrepreneur paid the fine.
