Kaluga anesthesiologists accept congratulations

Today the World Anesthesiologist-Resuscitator is celebrated. It was on this day that the American dentist Thomas Morton demonstrated the successful use of ester anesthesia in surgery to remove a submandibular tumor. This was the turning point in the development of medicine.

Anesthesiologists-resuscitators – provide anesthesia during operations, monitor the vital functions of the patient’s body during the intervention and help people in critical conditions. Their work requires high qualifications, responsibility and the ability to make quick decisions.

On this day, awards of distinguished doctors, lectures and scientific and practical seminars, competitions can be held in medical institutions.

At the end of 2023, there were about 25,000 anesthesiologists in Russia.
