In the Kaluga Regional Clinical Hospital special equipment appeared, and doctors underwent new training.
Doctors were taught the use of lipid filtration - a method of extracorporeal hemocorrection - a procedure to reduce the level of "harmful" cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular complications.
Previously, such technologies were used only by large federal centers.
An individual course of treatment is selected for each patient.
“The development of healthcare in the region is one of the priority areas of our work,” the Kaluga Governor said, speaking about the Kaluga know-how.
