Candidate of Historical Sciences from Volosovo took silver in a research competition

Candidate of Historical Sciences and Head of the Knowledge Humanitarian Center Galina Vandysheva took second place in the regional competition “Leningrad Region: Diversity and Unity of Peoples in Archival Documents”. The competition was held in the nomination “Man and time: the fate of the inhabitants of the Leningrad region in archival materials”. This was reported in the press service of the administration of the Volosov district.

The competition, organized by the Archival Department of the Leningrad region, is held within the framework of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Head of the Archival Department of the Leningrad Region Andrey Vladimirovich Savchenko expressed gratitude to all participants and congratulated the winners.

“Congratulations to Galina Alexandrovna with a well-deserved award and wish new discoveries!” the press service of the administration of the Volosov district wrote.

The regional contest “Leningrad region: diversity and unity of peoples in archival documents” included three key nominations.

“Ethno-cultural heritage of the Leningrad region”: concerns the study of traditions, life, language and rituals of the peoples of the region on the basis of archival data.

"Man and time: the fate of the inhabitants of the Leningrad region in archival materials" - biographical and family studies, stories of individuals and their role in the history of the region. The Archive as the Keeper of History (or the Archive as the Keeper of the History of Peoples) are works devoted to the role of archival funds and documents in preserving historical memory.
