Karelia is preparing to upgrade a third of elevators: the program is designed until 2030

About the planned replacement of elevators with expired use said the Minister of construction, housing and communal services and energy of Karelia Alexander Menshikov.

To date, the residential buildings of the republic are equipped with 1654 elevators. Authorities have set a goal to replace 498 outdated cabins. The work schedule is scheduled by year: in 2025, modern equipment received 112 addresses. Of the 147 elevators slated to be replaced in 2026, 86 are already in operation, with installation of the remaining ones to be completed by December. In subsequent periods, the volumes are distributed as follows: in 2027, 134 new elevators will be delivered, a year later - 96, and in 2029 the last 9 elevators from the list will be installed.

All the mechanisms to be replaced have exhausted their 25-year service life. Works are paid either through the regional operator of capital repair (with three-year installments), or at the expense of money collected by tenants on specialized accounts.
