Petrozavodsk club "Fighter" brilliantly performed at the international tournament WKU, which was held on October 16-17 in Mexico City. Representatives of 12 states and 15 Mexican states took part in the competition. As part of the Russian team, which included athletes from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Karelia, our countrymen showed an outstanding result, winning five awards of the highest standard.
About the victory of the athletes told in social networks Marina Ermolina. The main hero of the tournament was the mentor of the club Ivan Andrienko: in his 50 years, he not only entered the ring, but also twice climbed to the highest step of the pedestal, demonstrating the skill of the Karelian martial arts school. His ward Stepan Pankrat also showed phenomenal preparation, becoming a three-time champion of the tournament.
Marina Ermolina stressed that this success is the merit of the entire team. She expressed deep gratitude to the sponsors, the parents of the athletes and all concerned residents who helped raise funds for the trip and supported the fighters.
