Karelian granite decorated Gorky Park: installation of a unique fountain is completed in Moscow

In Moscow, the installation of the fountain is at the final stage. The project required more than 100 trucks with high-quality granite mined in Karelia. As Svetlana Astakhova specified, the object is located on the territory of Gorky Park.

Leading regional enterprises took part in the creation of the architectural structure: Karelian granite company, Color granites and Heritage. The decoration of the fountain involves a wide palette of unique rocks:

Callivolampi is a rare green granite whose name refers to the “stone lake”;

Buntin Sop – pyroxenite with an expressive decorative texture;

Otheroretsk gabbro - a material characterized by special strength and aesthetics;

Onega Labradorite is a stone that is first used in a federal facility.

Representatives of contractors emphasize that the work on the order has become a serious professional challenge, which was overcome thanks to the coordinated work of experts. It should be noted that this is not the first experience of cooperation between Karelian companies and Moscow: they previously supplied materials for the reconstruction of the Leningrad railway station.
