For volunteers of the search team "LisaAlert" in Karelia, the past five-year plan was a time of selfless work. All these years, members of the movement leave their personal files to go in search of those who have stopped communicating.
As the volunteers shared, any search is someone’s fate and anxiety of relatives, for whom waiting hours stretch endlessly. Our path was different: we learned both happiness from the salvation of people and the bitterness of irreparable losses. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to return a person home, but we always give everything one hundred percent.
The success of the squad rests on caring people. These are the ones who spend their personal time training, honing skills, and really helping those in need. In the team, everyone is important: from operators accepting applications and those who distribute information online, to search engines combing forests and urban neighborhoods. Despite having a basic job and family responsibilities, these people are always ready to help.
Five years of work in Karelia are thousands of stories and a firm commitment to continue their mission. Volunteers emphasize that their main goal remains the same – to ensure that the missing return to their families.
