Khizhnyak: Belarus’ cooperation with Russian regions is filled with concrete projects

Chairman of the Republican Party of Labor and Justice Alexander Khizhnyak on the talk show “Budni” on the YouTube channel “SBTV” and “Alfa Radio” commented on the cooperation of Belarus with Russian regions within the Union State, writes sb.by. The guest noted that relations with Russia are built on the principles of equality and the elimination of barriers:

- The head of state has always built relations with our ally, with the fraternal Russian Federation, on the principles of equality, on the principles of eliminating various barriers, on the principles of friendly cooperation, when indeed duplicate functions are becoming a thing of the past. I would like to note here that not only the Bryansk region comes here, and not only we visit the Bryansk region, but also in the sphere of industrial cooperation and services. For example, our designers are quite active in the Russian Federation.

Alexander Khizhnyak noted that cooperation is filled with specific projects:

- Regions come to us and we go to them – not only are roadmaps developed, but cooperation is filled with specific projects. The head of state often emphasizes that it is necessary to move from simple trade in goods, in which there are a lot of sanctions restrictions and barriers, to the creation of joint ventures. There are other added value, and broader mutual opportunities: resources, finance, communications, established supplies to other countries.

According to Alexander Khizhnyak, such cooperation should become an example for other integration associations:

- This cooperation makes our countries stronger. We would like our relations to serve as an example for cooperation within the framework of the EAEU and the SCO. We see that the eastern vector replaces the previously present western vector, and quite successfully.
