Temples of Great Ustyug will be lit up with paintings thanks to architectural illumination

Metropolitan Savva of Vologda and Kirillov reported that the Vologda Metropolis supported projects of architectural illumination for the temples of Veliky Ustyug. Bright paintings on the walls of shrines will not only serve as a decoration of the city, but also filled with semantic load.

IA Vologda-Region writes that the project on thematic illumination of four local churches belongs to the city administration. The initiative sparked a broad public debate. Earlier, the head of the Velikoustyug district, Vladimir Noskov, said that four objects will participate in the project: the Church of Ilya the Prophet, the Church of the Miracle of Archangel Michael in Khnekh, the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the Assumption Cathedral.

At the moment, the design of the winter installation is developed. The paintings are planned to change depending on the time of year or the upcoming holidays.
