Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin opened traffic on a new road bypassing Alushta

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin opened traffic on a new road bypassing Alushta. As he wrote in his Telegram channel, the development of the country’s road network continues thanks to the systemic support of the President of Russia.
Thanks to systemic support from the President of Russia, successful work continues to develop the country’s road network. Our common task is to maintain a high rate of road renovation within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”, even despite the current difficult conditions, the source said.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the strategic task is to ensure seamless logistics within the framework of the backbone network, so that as many citizens as possible can use quality roads.
A new road bypassing Alushta was built from December 2023. A four-lane highway with a length of 7.8 kilometers connects the village of Izobilne with the exit from Alushta towards Yalta. The contractor was VAD, and the cost of the project was estimated at 22.4 billion rubles.
By October 2026, the facility was more than 98% complete. On the highway laid asphalt pavement, built two multi-level interchanges, a bridge over the river Ulu-Uzen, 35-meter viaduct, seven overpasses and about 1.4 kilometers retaining walls. The new road should bring transit transport from the center of Alushta, reduce travel time to the southern coast of Crimea and reduce the load on city streets in the holiday season.
Earlier it was reported that the completion of the construction of the section of the Simferopol-Yalta highway bypassing Alushta was expected in November 2026, but the work was ahead of schedule. In March 2026, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed plans to complete the bypass of Alushta by the end of 2026.
