Everyone loves to relax, but few people think that a vacation can also be profitable. Specialists of the State Labor Inspectorate in the Murmansk region told how to calculate vacations and in what months it is better to go on vacation, so as not to lose money.

The calculation is based on average daily earnings. To get it, take the income for the last twelve months and divide by 29.3 - the average number of days in a month. The resulting figure is multiplied by how many days a person will rest. That's how much you pay.

The monthly salary, worked out in full, is not reduced. But vacations directly depend on the number of working days in a month: the more of them, the more solid the total amount along with the salary. Therefore, it is better not to take holidays on vacation: they are not paid.

Let's take an example. With a salary of 50 thousand rubles, the average daily earnings will be about 1706 rubles. In January 2027, there are only 15 working days. If you take a vacation for five days, you will work only 10. Together with vacations for January will be about 41,86 thousand rubles. The loss is approximately 16.3 per cent of salary.

The most successful months for vacation in 2027 are March, April, July, August, September and December. Each of them has 22 working days, so both salaries and vacations add up to a more pleasant amount.

It happens that a person is ready to lose money, just so as not to go to work longer. In this case, no one forbids to take a vacation near the holidays. This is a legal way to extend your vacation.
